Davia
Dreaming Realities
About The Artist
Born and raised in the South of France, Davia is a fine artist now residing in Florida. Her artistic journey began with formal training at the French Conservatoire of Arts in Nice, where she studied acting and classical voice. She later moved to Paris to pursue her artistic endeavors, where she developed a growing passion for drawing and painting.
Davia believes that “Art is only as good as it touches another’s soul and inspires them to express their own creativity.” This philosophy guides her approach to creating work that connects with viewers through emotion, expression, and the power of visual storytelling.
Strongly influenced by the Italian Renaissance and its enduring attention to human expression, form, and emotional depth, Davia works across a range of mediums, including oil, charcoal, watercolor, pastel, and sanguine. She explores the distinctive qualities of each material to reveal the intensity of emotion and invite viewers to connect with the feeling and character within her subjects.
Her practice spans portraiture, still life, and abstract compositions, allowing her to explore both recognizable subjects and more open-ended forms of expression. Davia has received awards for her portraits and pastel works, reflecting her dedication to these mediums.
Through her art, Davia hopes to move others, awaken their creativity, and encourage them to discover and express their own artistic voice.
