Steven Strenk attended Ringling College of Art and Design where he received his BFA. He later earned his MFA in Painting at the University of South Florida. He is an artist of many mediums ranging from painting to sculpture. He draws his inspiration from his coastal environment, along with a sense of playfulness. His work has been shown primarily in alternative spaces throughout Florida and out-of-state, and belongs to numerous private collections. In addition to teaching drawing at the Ringling College of Art and Design, he is responsible for course development including drawing, painting, and sculpture at Sarasota’s Booker High School, a Visual and Performance Arts Magnet Program.
