Born in Hoguín, Cuba (1964)

Néstor Arenas left Cuba, via Barcelona, Spain, in 1995. He attended the School of Art of Holguín, Cuba, and the Higher Institute of Art (ISA), Havana, Cuba. He has participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions. Some of his solo shows include Lego paintings, Lyle O’Reitzel Gallery, Miami, FL (2010); Paisajes Transformers, Farside Gallery, Miami, FL (2014); Paisajes Transformer II, Zona Franca, collateral complex Cabana-Morro,12th Havana Biennial (2015); Paisajes Transformers III, Centro Cultural Español, Miami, FL (2016); Dichotomous Structures, Kendall Art Center, Miami, FL (2017); and Looking Forward, Hamlin Creative Space Weitz Center, CArleton College, Northfield, MN (2018). He participated in a studio residency at the Art Center of South Florida, Miami Beach, FL (2003-2004).
