From a girl with a pencil in her hand to a woman with painting in her heart, I have found art to be a defining aspect of my life.

I’m addicted to texture and texture making. I love the abandonment and joy of applying paint with big brushes, splattering, dripping and using conventional and unconventional objects to make marks. I’ve been painting this way for several years.

The majority of these paintings are done on “yupo” a synthetic paper. The paint is watercolor. Yupo is a nonabsorbent surface, so the watercolor sits on the surface, which makes it easy to manipulate. One paintings is done in acrylic on paper that is treated to act like yupo.
