Jeffrey Schwartz received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, in 1991, and his MFA in painting and drawing from American University in Washington D.C., in 1996. The content of his work explores locations as universal experiences. His methodical process gives a sense of animation, time, space and surprise to inanimate object. Schwartz has participated in numerous exhibitions and art fairs in the United States and abroad. His work has earned him several grants and awards. Since joining the Ringling College of Art and Design in 2008 he has held various positions. He is currently the Associate Vice President and Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Academic Affairs.
