Clara Reynardus de Villanueva earned a BA in Psychology and Social Relations, Harvard Radcliffe, Cambridge, MA. A self-taught artist, she depicts in her paintings a place of fantasy or imagination that draws the viewer into a surreal or dreamlike world. Rather than exhibiting at traditional commercial venues such as galleries, she prefers to participate in artist-in-residency programs. She has been a guest artist at The Winery at La Grange, Haymarket VA; The Iris Inn, Waynesboro, VA; and the YWCA of Newburyport, MA.
She lives in Sarasota, FL.
