Born in Pinar del Río, Cuba (1969)

Carlos Luna studied at the Provincial School of Art (EPA), Pinar del Río; San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts, Havana; the National School of Art (ENA), Cubanacán; and the Higher Institute of Art (ISA), Havana, Cuba. He lived in Puebla, Mexico, from 1991 to 2002.

He has presented numerous solo exhibitions including Green Machine, The Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum, Florida International University, Miami, FL (2015); Deep Line, Drawings by Carlos Luna, Boca Raton Museum of Art, Boca Raton, FL (2017); Green Machine: The Art of Carlos Luna, American University Museum, Washington, DC (2017); and Dialogues: Carlos Luna, Fort Smith Regional Art Museum, Fort Smith, AR (2017). He has participated in many group exhibitions and has received awards from several institutions including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, New York (2001).

He has resided in Miami, FL since 2002.
