Born in Havana, Cuba (1954)
Carlos González studied at San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts, Havana, Cuba, and the National School of Art (ENA), Cubanacán, Cuba. He traveled to Caracas, Venezuela, in 2000 prior to moving to the United States. He has participated in several solo and group exhibitions including the II Biennial Wifredo Lam of Havana, National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana, Cuba (1986); Sculptures by Carlos González, Botello Gallery, Hato Rey, Puerto Rico (2003); Cuban Art in New York, Dactyl Foundation, NY, USA (2005); and Carlos González: About Life, Panamerican Art Projects, Miami, FL (2010),. He has received several awards including a Mention at the First National Salon of Small Format Sculpture, Lalo Carrasco, Havana, Cuba; and a Mention at the National Salon of Plastic Arts UNEAC 85, National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana, Cuba.
He resides in Miami, FL.
