The Colors Within is a journey into the body. This series began as a way for Corin to deepen her understanding of how the body works—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Inspired by her study of Medical Qigong over the past two years, she’s been learning how each organ holds its own energy, story, and wisdom.

The core of this series includes five main paintings based on the Daoist Five Elements, with companion pieces that explore supporting themes. Corin’s goal was to capture the energetics of a properly functioning organ—how they vibrate, how they flow, how they support the body, and how they work together in harmony. These paintings are meant to serve as activation tools, to bring more awareness to the deep intelligence of human bodies.

Corin is fascinated by the idea that bodies are maps—living compositions with the power to guide and heal. When everything is in balance, Qi flows, and human bodies feel connected. When something is blocked, the whole system can be affected. But the beauty is that individuals have the power to return to flow. The body holds so much wisdom, and they’re always communicating, human’s just need to learn how to listen.

This work is about honoring that wisdom. It’s about celebrating the perfection of nature within, even as one lives their perfectly imperfect life.
